Life Drawing

Life Drawing begins on Friday 10th September from 1pm until 4pm, Half Term is the 29th of Octoberon

Life Drawing is in the e.Learning Centre, Ysgol bro Gwaun, Fishguard.

The 'Blue' Exhibition

The 'Blue' Exhibition was opened by Audrey Walker.

Audrey presented Geoff Yeomans with the St Cuthbert's Mill Paper Prize for his painting 'Hang Person'. Christine Willison, Pembrokeshire Arts Officer attended and gave a very congratulatory address to the Society

A Successful Exhibition was held in the Tower and Cafe,

Oriel y Parc, St Davids from April 19th to June19th.

Our exhibition in the Junior School Fishguard on the theme of "Changing Landscapes" was loosely interpreted . This exhibition has had a second selection by the Committee and forms a touring exhibition in the Tower and Cafe in Oriel y Parc, St Davids along with films about the work of the Society,

Fishguard Library Exhibition

Fishguard Arts Society was awarded the Voluntary Groups category prize for a DVD entry into the "Express Yourself" Libraries Competition

Called "Screen Shots", the film was based on the making of a collage screen for the Big Draw Day 2009. Peter Morgan, PCC Councillor presented the prize to members of the Committee

March 1st

The Pembrokeshire Banner triumphed as it was carried in its rightful place in the National St David's Day Parade in Cardiff. The breeze held the flags around high and the gold letters shone in the sun. Thousands of people had turned out for the Parade and cameras clicked from all angles as the Banner passed by.

The Banner will be on a long term loan to St Davids Cathedral and exhibited in the Cathedral as soon as the wall fittings are agreed and assembled.


 

The Fishguard Arts Society AGM was to be held at 7.30pm on August 25th in Tregwynt Mansion.

The Textile Museum, Washington DC
Audrey's work "Temptation" is in "Private Pleasures": Collecting Contemporary Textile Art" at the Textile Museum in Washington DC. Private Pleasures highlights the role of collecting contemporary textile art has played in the shaping of art history as a discipline.

The Last Invasion Tapestry

The Last Invasion Tapestry Exhibition is open to the public in it's dedicated gallery in the newly renovated Fishguard Town Hall. Entrance is free into to this fascinating and visually enthralling exhibition. Open during library hours.
