I was given my first set of oil paints at the age of seventeen and was immediately bitten by the painting bug. Unfortunately, the time constraints of working meant many lean years always with the intention of returning. When I finished work on health grounds it was the ideal opportunity to start painting again.
Living in Pembrokeshire provides an endless source of inspiration. I mainly paint landscapes and coastal scenes, although I am always open to the challenges of other subject matter.
I work in oil, pastel and occasionally acrylic and water colour; sometimes combining them in mixed media work.
When it comes to painting I am an enthusiastic self-taught amateur and selfishly do it for my own pleasure.
