Gate shadows, Dinas

I studied graphic design in my hometown of Derby then at Salisbury art college and started working as a professional designer in 1986, having specialised in magazines for over 30 years.

My photography interest began at school learning black and white darkroom techniques and my interest grew later with photography being part of my graphic design courses..

Lower Town Yacht Club and Boats

First visiting Pembrokeshire in the early 1980s on family holidays, I became entranced with the area, returning time and again. For a long time my passion for the county has featured in my art and photos and in 1998 I created my first website featuring Pembrokeshire photos, and Pembrokeshire Images was born. Initially the website was a hobby – a place to show photos for people to enjoy. Following a move from the east of England to Somerset in 2000, Pembrokeshire became closer and I sometimes made day trips here, setting out in the early hours, to spend a day taking photos. The website became the vehicle and the driver for my creating more photography and art.

Following a career employed as a magazine designer, I then started working as a freelance from home, this offered the chance to make the long-held desire of a move to Pembrokeshire a reality a couple of years later in 2016.

My photographs have appeared in numerous genres of magazines, guides, promotional literature, newspapers and websites. I have had a life-long interest in art too – largely sketching and more recently computer-based illustrations and a little painting, this all now forms a mixed body of work, some of which I sell online and in outlets in the Fishguard area.
