This year’s exhibition celebrates the theme of Connecting People / Cysylltu Pobl. It was held in Theatr Gwaun.

The exhibition focused on the work of Denys Short, or in his Bardic name Denys o’r Dinas.
Denys inspired us by donating a number of his pre loved shaped canvases to members as part of his studio clearance. This transformed into a homage to Denys as artists used the canvases to produce their own artworks.
The whole idea of connection and narrative began to take shape…
What is the artist trying to say? What underlies their work? How do others interpret it?
Many of these pieces had a narrative, a story that gave the painting meaning to the artist and observer.
The Challenge….Could the audience match the painting to the narrative?
What is the painting saying to them?
Narrative cards were available and we enjoyed hearing people’s ideas, their connections.
